"Over the years, our many African safari adventures have introduced us to the harsh realities that typify this continent."
Here the Samburu people have Struggled for decades without a clean, reliable water source. The Samburu live a nomadic, tribal life, living off the land, but their access to water has become extremely limited. The Samburu women and their children, tasked with securing water for their families, have had to walk sometimes more than 10 miles to fill their water containers from the Ewaso Ng'iro River
Why?
Throughout our travels we have gained a huge appreciation, not only for the beautiful, unforgiving African land, but also for the amazing people that have tended this land for thousands of years. When we see the hardship that the Samburu people face day to day we can't just turn a blind eye.
|
What?
Among other needs we are dedicated to providing clean water to these people. Not only does the cleanliness of the water matter, but also the accessibility. Therefore, to sufficiently provide for their needs we need to build 9 more wells, for a total of 12 fully functioning wells.
|
How?
With the help of the money donated by our charitable contributors we tirelessly work to drill and maintain clean water sources for the Samburu people. With the average cost of $30,000 to drill a well we are in need of any and all contributions. Together we can change the lives of a whole tribe of African natives.
